Build your Alexa-hosted skill on the Alexa developer console. Building
a saved Alexa skill model helps you prepare the skill for
testing.

## Before you begin

Role required: admin

## Procedure

1. Log in to the Alexa developer console with your Amazon developer account.
2. Select the skill that you want to build.  
   Note:  
   Selecting a skill navigates you to the Alexa Developer Console.
3. Click the Build tab.
4. In the Skill builder checklist, click Build Model.  
   Note:  
   Building the model takes a few minutes.  
   The build successful message appears and you can test the sample utterances while the build is being trained.
