Tutorial part 7: Add a catalog item to your application
Add a catalog item to your app to allow employees to easily register for events and sign up as volunteers. The request form allows users to submit event participation requests easily.
Before you begin
Role required: admin or delegated_developer
Procedure
- From the We Volunteer app dashboard, select .
- Enter Global in the Application field.
- Under the User Interface category, select Catalog Item.
- Select Continue.
- Select AES Standard items in Service Catalog.
- Enter the following text for Now Assist to create a catalog item: I want my employees to submit a request for Register Volunteer Event. The form should look like: Event field which is references to x_snc_wevolunteer_event table and make this field mandatory. Start Date, End Date, Capacity and Purpose of the event.
- Select Generate with Now Assist, and wait a few moments for the content to generate.
- Select Preview.
- Close the Preview dialog, and select Save.
