The ServiceNow®
Identity application supports identity mechanisms that enable you to validate the identity of users. Identity was enhanced and updated in the Xanadu release.

## Identity highlights for the Xanadu release {#Identity-rn__identity-rn-highlights}

* Use the Access Simulator module under the ServiceNow® Access Analyzer V3 tool to simulate the user access and understand the implications of providing additional access to the users.
* Use the enhanced System for Cross-domain Identity Management (SCIM) API endpoints for CRUD operations.
* Access Analyzer extends support of Query operation (Query Match \& Query range) for Evaluate access, Compare user access, and Simulate access features.

## New in the Xanadu release {#Identity-rn__identity-rn-new-features}

Access Insights
:   Use the Access Insights module in the ServiceNow® Access Analyzer V4 tool to get access insights about role or group entitlements assinged to the user at a peer-level (same organization, department, and Manager), while comparing the
    user access.  
    Important:  
    Access Insights (Access Analyzer V4) is available in the ServiceNow Store. For more information, visit ServiceNow Store.

SCIM
:   Use the System for Cross-domain Identity Management (SCIM) API endpoints to create, read, update, and delete operations on users and groups using the SCIM protocol.
