The ServiceNow platform includes tools to help you during
and after an upgrade, and also allows you to convert a ServiceNow
Express List instance to a ServiceNow Service
Management enterprise platform.
Xanadu

The upgrade process moves your instance to a new ServiceNow
release version. Understand the difference between upgrading and patching, release
definitions, rollback and backup options, and how to test your non-production and
production instance upgrades.

  The Upgrade History module tracks every upgrade made to an instance. Administrators can use the module to resolve upgrade conflicts and optionally to revert customizations to base system versions to take advantage of new features.
