Get an app that's available at no additional cost from the isolated federal or regional ServiceNow Store instance that corresponds to your regulated environment.

## Before you begin

Role required: none

## About this task

Apps and integrations that are available for no additional cost might require approval from the provider before they can be procured. If an app requires approval, the listing shows the option to Request app. If no approval is required, the listing shows the option to Get the app.

## Procedure

1. Access the isolated federal or regional ServiceNow Store instance that corresponds to your regulated environment.
For more information, see [Access the ServiceNow Store for a regulated environment](https://servicenow-prod.fluidtopics.net/2yGFwXHNu3TheEFCYHHNyg "Log in to the isolated instance of the ServiceNow Store contained in your regulated environment.").
2. Find and select the free app or integration you want.
You can use the search bar or filters to find an option that meets your organizational needs.
3. Conduct a security review to verify that the app or integration meets the requirements for your regulated instance.
4. From the ServiceNow Store listing details for the app or integration, procure the app.
   1. **Optional:** Select Request app if the app requires approval.
You receive an emailed notification informing you whether your request is approved. After a request is approved, you can return to the listing details on your federal or regional instance of the ServiceNow Store to complete procurement.
   2. Select Get.
   3. Review and accept the terms and conditions.
   4. Confirm that you want to procure the app by selecting Get.

## Result

The application is available for installation within 24 hours of license confirmation. If the
application isn't available to install from the Application Manager within 24 hours, contact Now Support for assistance.

Confirmation emails for the application and any dependencies that were procured are
sent to the email address associated with your ServiceNow Store account. For information about configuring which email address receives notifications for this application, see [Configure ServiceNow Store application notification preferences](https://servicenow-prod.fluidtopics.net/AVcUutUxHRS62JWuNvn~FA "You can set notification preferences for each application you've procured and each trial you've requested. By default, notifications are sent to the email address associated with your Now Support account.").
Note:
It can take up to two business days for the application to be available for installation after final approval.

## What to do next

Install the app on compatible production or non-production instances, based on whether you have a hosted or on-premise instance:

* If your instance is in a hosted regulated environment, install the app using the Application Manager. For more information, see [Install an application or plugin](https://servicenow-prod.fluidtopics.net/M9wuXJv_~7OSTDtpfFcYgA "Install, update, or schedule multiple application installations to your instance using the Application Manager.").
* If your instance is in an on-premise environment, download the encrypted app file from your federal or regional instance of the ServiceNow Store and upload the file to your instance. For more information, see [Getting apps as an on-premise customer](https://servicenow-prod.fluidtopics.net/QuURgwdIFn3gnzxr9P7p4g "If you have an on-premise (self-hosted) instance, you can procure apps from the ServiceNow Store. Download encrypted apps and products to install on your instance, or connect your instance to the ServiceNow Store to sync purchases with your instance directly.")
