Select an expected start time for an Operational Technology (OT) remediation task by using the time slots in the equipment model entity schedules.

## Before you begin

Role required:
sn_otvr.remediation_owner

## About this task

There are two ways to manually select a start time for an OT remediation task.

* You can select a start time when creating a remediation task by selecting Scheduling Assistant on the Create New Remediation Task form.
* You can open an existing remediation task and schedule from there.

By using a schedule, you can track several maintenance tasks for one equipment model entity.").

## Procedure

1. If you want to select a start time while creating a remediation task, do these actions:  
   1. Refer to [Create a remediation task](https://servicenow-prod.fluidtopics.net/CxvsdrzHA1jXmoDZwnm~XA "Create remediation tasks associated with OT devices that are mapped to an equipment model entity.") and complete steps 1-6.
   2. Select Scheduling Assistant.
   3. Select the date and time slot when you'd like the remediation task to take place.
   4. Select Schedule.

2. If you want to select a start time for an existing remediation task, do these actions:  
   1. Navigate to AllIndustrial Workspace.
   2. In the list view, navigate to OT Remediation TasksAssigned to me.
   3. From the list, select the remediation task that you want to set a start time for.
   4. Select Scheduling Assistant.
   5. Select the date and time slot when you'd like the remediation task to take place.
   6. Select Schedule.

## Result

The remediation task takes place during the set time.
