# Verify the imported data

# Verify the imported data {#ariaid-title1}

Verify the data that was imported and validate that the data is accurate. The success of your data mining depends on the accuracy of your imported data.

## Before you begin

* [Create an audit table](https://servicenow-prod.fluidtopics.net/ixOOyF9RYpOrt8TEDgwBNQ "Create an audit table to store data. Audit table is a staging table that is created with the required columns to populate the external data.").

* [Import data into the audit table](https://servicenow-prod.fluidtopics.net/3L46NWNBIIW~15KJYMzT7Q "Import external dataset into the audit table to start working with the data in Process Mining.").

Role required: sn_process_optimization_admin

## Procedure

1. Navigate to the step where you selected Import using Integration Hub in the [Import data into the audit table](https://servicenow-prod.fluidtopics.net/3L46NWNBIIW~15KJYMzT7Q "Import external dataset into the audit table to start working with the data in Process Mining.") section.
2. Select Yes, my data import is complete, and select Next.  
3. On the next page, select Preview to verify the data you've imported.  
   Verify that the mandatory and custom fields have the value that you had specified in your source file.
4. **Optional:** Select edit your dataset link if you want to import your dataset again or edit the imported dataset.
5. Select Confirm and continue after validating your data.
