Configure finding constraints for your finding definition. In addition to finding
rules, finding constraints further narrow down the scope of your finding definitions using
metrics like duration and relation constraints.

## Before you begin

Role required: sn_process_optimization_analyst, sn_process_optimization_power_user,
or sn_process_optimization_admin

## Procedure

1. Open the finding definition record where you want to add a finding constraint.
2. In the Finding Constraints tab, select New.
3. On the form, fill in the fields.
For a description of the field values, see [Finding constraint form](https://servicenow-prod.fluidtopics.net/Shsn7UcSpFgsUwsPuLrPhA "Use the Finding constraint form to configure finding constraints for your finding definition. In addition to finding rules, finding constraints further narrow down the scope of your finding definitions using metrics like duration and relation constraints.").
4. Select Submit.
