Process Mining is available with ServiceNow AI Platform. With the free version, you can do only sample mining. You need a license to do full mining.{#activate-po-plugin__activate-po-plugin-info}

To purchase a subscription, contact your account manager.
Note:
Before purchasing a subscription, you can evaluate the features using the Process Mining evaluation projects available for ITSM. For more information, see [Process Mining evaluation project for Incident Management](https://servicenow-prod.fluidtopics.net/0mNCKw2Umj6Owrd81pYS3Q "Process Mining evaluation project for Incident Management is a limited version of Process Mining that is shipped as part of the Process Mining plugin and available for customers that aren’t entitled for Process Mining for ITSM. It enables you to become familiar with improving your process with Process Mining capability.").

For information on components installed with Process Mining, see [Components installed with Process Mining](https://servicenow-prod.fluidtopics.net/9EOLhbh8VVmHltsqX2RRng#components-installed "Several types of components are installed with activation of the com.sn_po plugin, including tables, user roles, and scheduled jobs.").
Important:
You may explore content packs that will provide you with pre-defined template for projects, process configuration, improvement opportunities, and so on. To download and import the content packs, see [Activate a content pack](https://servicenow-prod.fluidtopics.net/8bxY0dF8me~kTpEolEHVXw "Activate a content pack from the application list on your instance").

If you plan to activate and explore Process Mining in a sub-prod or clone instance, then clone from production with copy audit and logs data. You can do this by deselecting the Exclude audit and log data when cloning.
Taking this step ensures that audit logs are available to create a full process map using Process Mining.
