You can access the Overview dashboard via two navigation paths: through All > Automation Center > Automation Center Home > Overview or through Workspaces > Automation Center Workspace > Overview.
Active Automations
This section displays detailed information about all currently active automations from various sources, enabling filtering by date range, specific automation, or department. Without filters, it shows data for all active automations.
Key reports available include:
- Deployed automations by business criticality: Visualizes the number of active automations categorized by their business importance, helping prioritize critical workflows.
- Execution summaries by source: Provides insights into active automations grouped by their origin, such as ServiceNow Flow, ServiceNow RPA, or third-party sources, aiding in understanding data provenance and usage.
- Robotic Process Automation (RPA) by source: Displays timeline data for RPA automations, showing when data was sent to the Automation Center, useful for tracking RPA activity over time.
- Automations by ServiceNow Flow and Document Intelligence: Both charts show timelines of automations executed via these technologies, enabling monitoring of specific automation types.
- Top 10 applications used: A vertical bar graph highlighting the most frequently used business applications in automation, assisting in assessing application engagement. This ties into business application relationships with Configuration Items (CIs) for detailed application insights.
Future Automations
This section outlines automations planned for deployment. Customers can filter this data by department or view all departments if no filter is applied, facilitating forward planning and resource allocation.
New Requests and Deployment Tracking
The dashboard also tracks automation requests throughout their lifecycle, including:
- New requests: Lists all automation requests currently in the new state.
- Requests by intake source: Groups requests based on their origin, such as web submissions, process mining, or service requests, helping to analyze request channels.
- Requests to be deployed: Shows automation requests that are ready for deployment, supporting deployment readiness monitoring.
- Most recent requests: Displays the latest requests sorted from newest to oldest, aiding in tracking recent activity.

Active Automations
Active Automations provides details of all the active automations from different sources and their business criticality. You can filter the data to view information within a specific date range, for a specific automation, or for a specific department. After you set the filter, the results will be displayed only for the specified filter. If you don’t set any filter, then data for all active automations is displayed.
- Deployed automations by business criticality
- This chart displays data about all active automations. It also provides details about the business criticality of each of the automation. This helps you in understanding how many automations are highly critical and how many aren’t.
- Executions summaries by source
- Automation Center supports data from several sources, such as ServiceNow Flow, ServiceNow RPA, and other third-party sources. This chart provides execution summary details of all active automations along with their sources. This information helps you in evaluating from which sources you’re getting data and how many automations from each of the sources are active.
- Robotic Process Automation (RPA) by source
- This chart displays the automations for all RPAs grouped by sources. The graph gives details of the time lines when the RPA data was sent to Automation Center.
- Automations by ServiceNow Flow
- This chart provides details of the ServiceNow flow automations with the time lines.
- Automations by Document Intelligence
- This chart provides details of the Document Intelligence automations with the time lines.

The Future Automations section provides details about all active automations that are planned for the future.
You can filter the data by department. If no department is selected, the data is displayed for all departments.
