Create a growth plan to give your career goals guidance and structure.

## Before you begin

Role required: None

## About this task

Growth plans are based on your individual needs and aspirations and help you make the most of your potential and reach your career goals.

## Procedure

1. Navigate to AllSelf-ServiceEmployee Center.
2. At the Your Career drop-down list, select Growth plans.
3. Select the Create a growth plan button.
4. Select Get Started if this is your first time creating a growth plan.  
   Note:  
   If you have any open aspirations or recent conversations, they might be displayed as potential focus areas. If you don't have any open aspirations or conversations, you can build a plan from scratch by selecting Build a plan from scratch option.
5. Enter a plan name in Growth plan name.
6. **Optional:** Enter Description
7. Select the Next button.  
   Tip:  
   Creating a plan will start to process and find some activities for your plan.
8. Select the Next button.  
   Tip:  
   If learning and activities are installed, Growth plan might show some suggested learnings, or you can search learning to add things to your Growth plan.
9. Select Create plan

## Result

The draft growth plan is created and will be shared with your manager once the plan
is launched.

## What to do next

* Launch plan so it can be shared with your manager.
* Review your progress.
* Continue to edit your growth plan.
