# View an opportunity match analysis

Opportunity Marketplace (OPM) generates match analyses based on your current role, aspirations, and skills. Match analysis is based on your skills and preferences.

## Before you begin

Role required: none  
Note:  
Access is based on user criteria.

## About this task

Only opportunities that match the opportunity's user criteria and have been published are evaluated for match analysis.

OPM provides helpful analyses and recommendations for available opportunities, and it enables you to view the details for the recommended opportunities.

## Procedure

1. From the Employee Center go to Opportunity marketplaceOther opportunities.
2. In an opportunity card, select Match analysis to view details about the match.  
   Match analysis is based on matched skills and preferences. Skills make up 80% of the match analysis and 20% comes from your preferences. It's important to keep your preferences and skills current so that the match analysis finds
   relevant opportunities. For more information about skills, see [Using Skills Foundation](https://servicenow-prod.fluidtopics.net/xepHFXCQEbEWGL6VTJ7OtQ "By using the Skills Foundation application, your organization can identify the skills that an employee needs, determine the skill gaps within a role, and recommend the learning opportunities that the employee can do to bridge those gaps.").  
   The different sections of the analysis display information about the match.
   * How your skills match this opportunity shows skills that match the requirements of the opportunity, and it gives you recommendations for skills you can work on to improve your match with the opportunity.
   * How your preferences match this opportunity shows the settings that are configured in your OPM preferences.
3. In an opportunity card, select View details to the recommended opportunity.  
   From the opportunity, you can view your Match analysis and Sign up for the opportunity.
