# Edit mentee preferences

# Edit mentee preferences {#ariaid-title1}

As a mentee, edit your preferences based on your skills, focus areas, and topics of interest that you would like to discuss with your mentor.

## Before you begin

Role required: none

## Procedure

1. Navigate to AllEmployee CenterYour careerMentoringOverview.
2. From the Edit preferences list, select Edit mentee preferences.
3. On the Edit mentee preferences form, fill in the fields.  
   For a description of the field values, see [Edit mentee preferences form](https://servicenow-prod.fluidtopics.net/5xN1SFGeB8qU3CRU0WNEmw "Use this form to record your preferences as a mentee.").
4. Select the Share mentor names and key dates with my manager to share this information with your manager.  
   This information will help your manager validate your skills levels.
5. Select Save and close.
