# Create a document block for legal contract templates

Create document blocks that you can use in multiple document templates for legal
contracts.

## Before you begin

Role required: admin

## About this task

Note:  
All document template blocks must be created in the Legal Request Management application scope only.

## Procedure

1. Navigate to AllLegal AdministrationSimple Contracts AdminTemplate Blocks.
2. Click New.
3. On the form, fill in the fields.

   | Field | Description |
   |-|-|
   | Name | Unique name for the document template block. |
   | Table | Table to which you want to associate the document template block. Select General Contract Support \[sn_lg_ops_general_contract_support\]. |
   | Active | Option to make the document template block active and available for use. |
   | Description | Information about the document template block. |

4. Click Submit.
