The CAD Configuration page layout provides the Map Configuration tab and the CAD Editor tab options.

Note:  
Indoor Mapping retrieves the CAD configuration from previously configured files based on the layer names. If this is the first time that you are importing your CAD file or if there are few unknown layer names in your CAD file in Indoor Mapping, then, after importing the CAD file, it will not be configured and the Map Configuration preview will be blank.

  Manage CAD layers, places, text, block, layer types, and place types using the Map Configuration preview layout.
* **[CAD Editor tab](https://servicenow-prod.fluidtopics.net/CKsk6eYKudZpZd6YUYnVww)**   
  CAD editor provides editing and drawing tools to edit and optimize your CAD source file. Add or update text, place, or a block attribute. Resolve missing polylines, polygons, and place types in your CAD file.
