# Create accommodation types

Accommodation types help define and categorize accommodation requests.

## Before you begin

Role required: sn_hr_er.config_manager  
Note:  
The base system provides accommodation types, but you can add more.

## Procedure

1. Navigate to AllEmployee RelationsAccommodation Types.
2. Select New.
3. Fill in the form.

   | Field | Description |
   |-|-|
   | Name | Name that describes the accommodation type. |
   | Active | Indicates if the accommodation type is available and ready to use. Note: The base system provides accommodation types that you can use. The base system delivers these types as inactive. Ensure you select Active for the accommodation types you want to use |
   | Application | The scope application you are in when creating the accommodation type. |

4. Select Save or Submit.
