# Reopen a safety incident or observation {#ariaid-title1}

If a safety incident or observation requires further investigation after it was
closed or canceled, you can reopen it to work on it again.

## Before you begin

Role required: sn_ohs_im.manager

## Procedure

1. Navigate to AllHealth and SafetyHealth and Safety Workspace.
2. Select the incident management icon (![Incident Management icon.]()).
3. In the Lists tab, open the safety incident or observation list.
   * For the safety incidents list, select Safety Incidents and then All.
   * For the safety observations list, select Safety Observations and then All.

4. Open the safety incident or observation to reopen and change the state to Work in Progress.

## Result

The safety incident or observation is reopened.
