# Close a safety incident or observation

Close a safety incident or observation assigned to you when you complete all activities for resolving it.

## Before you begin

Ensure that you've completed all related activities before closing the safety incident or observation.

Role required: sn_ohs_im.manager or sn_ohs_im.agent

## Procedure

1. Navigate to AllHealth and SafetyHealth and Safety Workspace.
2. Select the incident management icon (![Incident Management icon.]()) and navigate to the Lists tab.
3. Open a safety incident or observation to close.
   * For the safety incidents list, select Safety Incidents and then Assigned to me.
   * For the safety observations list, select Safety Observations and then Assigned to me.

4. Select the safety incident or observation to close.
5. Close the incident or observation.
   * For a safety incident, select Close incident and then select Resolve.
   * For an observation, select Close observation and then Confirm.

## Result

The incident or observation moves to the Closed Complete state.
