Add or modify content type for Content Publishing

  • Use Content Types to associate the content type category with a service portal widget to determine where content resides on your service portal.

    Before you begin

    Roles required: sn_cd.content_admin

    The base system provides content types and content that you can use.

    Procedure

    1. Navigate to All > Content Publishing > Advanced > Content Types.
    2. Click New or an existing content type to edit.
      Note:
      For more information on how to create and use content types, see Content Library.
      FieldDescription
      Name Unique name that describes the content.
      Category The content type categories are:
      • Portal Content
      • Notification Content
      • Community Content
      • To-do Content
      • Mobile Content

      Associated widgets Widgets that can show the type of content you are defining or editing.
      Active Indicates that the content type is active and available to use.
      Value Unique identification of the content type.
    3. Click Submit or Update.
