Notifications of errors that you may encounter while building and activating a decision tree in Decision Tree Builder enable you to easily recover from errors.

## Error display {#validation-errors-builder__section_fk3_lzc_bxb}

If there are missing values or incorrect configurations in a node or a path, errors might be displayed on validation when you save a node or path or activate a decision tree.

The errors are indicated in the following ways:

* Error icons on nodes and paths that have errors
* A label for a count of nodes and paths that have errors in the top right corner
* An alert message in the side panel showing a list of errors in the selected node or path
