# Configure sitemap links for the Portal Polaris Footer widget {#ariaid-title1}

Display links to various important pages or sections of your website in a sitemap. Sitemaps help users explore the site's content.

## Before you begin

The Portal Next Experience theme should have been activated.

The Portal Polaris Footer widget must have been configured. For more information, see [Configure the Portal Polaris Footer widget](https://servicenow-prod.fluidtopics.net/KNdAGe4kYZywb~3bOk55Ng "Configure the Portal Polaris Footer widget to display your company’s corporate office address, email address, and more on the portal page.")

Role required: admin or sp_admin

## Procedure

1. Navigate to AllService PortalMenus.
2. On the Instances with Menu page, in the Title column, enter <kbd class="ph userinput">Portal Footer Sitemap Links</kbd>.  
   Note:  
   You can create a new menu record by selecting New. After the record is created, update the Quick start config field with the new record's sys_id.
3. Select the entry in the Updated column.
4. On the Portal Footer Sitemap Links page, in the Related Links, select the category that you want to configure.
5. On the Category page, in the Related links, select a sitemap link from the Label column.
6. On the Menu item form, fill in the fields.

   If a message appears about the application scope, select here to be able to edit the record.
7. Select Update.

## Result

The sitemap links are configured and enabled.
