# Link an activated decision tree to this decision tree

Nest and invoke a decision tree from a linking node when specific conditions are met in Decision Tree Builder. Use nested trees to execute complex troubleshooting and reuse existing decision trees.

## Before you begin

Role required: admin, sn_gd_core.decision_tree_author

## Procedure

1. Navigate to AllGuided DecisionsDecision Trees.
2. Select the decision tree from the list.
3. Select Open in Builder.
4. In Decision Tree Builder, add a new node by selecting the Add path icon (![Add path icon]()) on a node.
5. Select Add node.
6. In the pop-up window, select Link decision tree to configure a linking node.
7. Enter a name for the node.
8. In the Child decision tree field, select an activated decision tree.
9. Enter values or link inputs to reuse answers from prior nodes.

10. Select Save and close.
