# Access the REST API Explorer

View available REST API resources using the REST API Explorer.

## Before you begin

Role required: web_service_admin, rest_api_explorer, or admin

## About this task

You can use the REST API Explorer to browse available APIs, API versions, and methods for each API. The explorer enables you to test REST API requests straight from the user interface.

## Procedure

1. In your ServiceNow instance, click All in the top navigation menu.  
   The All filter navigation opens.
2. From the All menu, do one of the following:
   * Expand the following module path: System Web ServicesRESTREST API Explorer.
   * Enter "REST API Explorer" in the Filter search bar.

3. Click on the REST API Explorer module.
4. Click Explore.  
   The REST API Explorer page opens.

## Result

You can change the Namespace, API Name, and Version drop-down options to filter to a specific REST API.
