# Domain separation

# Domain separation {#ariaid-title1}

Release version: Australia
Updated March 12, 2026
![](https://www.servicenow.com/docs/portal-asset/ico-clock) 1 minute to read
Domain separation in Telecommunications Network Inventory provides a structured and efficient way to manage complex, multilevel organizational environments. It enables secure, tailored access and control, ensuring that users view data relevant to their
domain.

## Support level: Basic {#domain-seperation-telecommunication-network-inventory__section_f22_32d_wfc}

* Business logic: Ensure that data goes into the proper domain for the application's service provider use cases.
* The application supports domain separation at run time. The domain separation includes separation from the user interface, cache keys, reporting, roll-ups, and aggregations.
* The owner of the instance must set up the application to function across multiple tenants.
