# Domain separation and MISP {#ariaid-title1}

Domain separation is supported in MISP. Domain separation enables you to
separate data, processes, and administrative tasks into logical groupings called domains. You
can then control several aspects of this separation, including which users can see and access
data.

## Support level {#domain-separation-and-misp__section_nrv_bqt_3qb}

Support: Basic.

## How domain separation works with MISP {#domain-separation-and-misp__section_r4z_hqt_3qb}

Follow these steps to achieve domain separation:

* Create a user with the [required roles](https://servicenow-prod.fluidtopics.net/EFFaGnNJvZjqxuXFXJT3Og#get-started-with-misp-integration-for-security-operations__table_k2d_1bk_ynb) in your domain.
