The ServiceNow® ReleaseOps application enables you to deploy and validate code from development to production in your ServiceNow environments. See the following sections for release notes by version.

Activation and other requirements

Activation information
Install ReleaseOps by requesting it from the ServiceNow Store. Visit the ServiceNow Store to view all the available apps, and for information about submitting requests to the store. For cumulative release notes information for all released apps, see the ServiceNow Store version history release notes.
Additional requirements
ReleaseOps is not supported in regulated environments or on-premise. Check your entitlements to determine whether you have access to ReleaseOps.

ReleaseOps was enhanced and updated in the October 2026 release to enable the assessment of deployment requests independently of a release.

What's new

Create a deployment request
Begin assessing deployment requests before having to create or select a release. As some assessments can take much longer than the time needed for a release, this feature enables you to start assessments early and speed up your time to deployment.
