Lux Lab is a desktop application for building Lux applications that run on a ServiceNow instance. You create projects, edit code, preview your work, and deploy to your instance from one tool. Release notes are organized by version.

## About Lux Lab {#lux-lab-rn__lux-lab-rn-about}

* Start a project from a base experience, an extension of an existing application, or a collection, and let Lux Lab scaffold it for you.
* Extend existing applications by adding extension targets from the file explorer's right-click menu.
* Create collection pages and control which page each user sees by adding access rules in a guided, two-step flow.
* Preview your application locally and deploy it to your instance without leaving the app.
* Edit code with the built-in editor and source control, including inline Git blame that shows who last changed each line.
* Get started quickly with a first-launch setup that checks your environment and signs you in to your instance.
* Create store applications with a custom scope that doesn't require your instance's company code.
