Initiate a contract request from the Source-to-Pay workspace.

Role required: admin or fulfiller

To initiate a contract request, you must have already added a contract template and created template rules. For more information on how to add a contract template, see [Configure templates for a contract and amendment request in Contract Management Pro](https://www.servicenow.com/docs/access?context=cncore-document-templates&version=australia&pubname=australia-employee-service-management&ft:locale=en-US). You can initiate contract requests from the related work section, the Dynamic Related Records (DRR) contextual side panel, and the playbook.

## Procedimento

1. Navigate to the Source-to-Pay Workspace.
2. Open the entity for which you have to initiate a contract request.  
   Nota:  
   Contract requests can be initiated for purchase lines, purchase requisitions, sourcing requests, negotiations, and sourcing events.
3. Initiate a contract request from the related work section, the DRR, or the playbook.  
   * From Related work: Contract requests can be initiated for all types of entities. For more information on how to initiate a contract request from the related work section, see [Initiate a contract request from the related work section](https://servicenow-prod.fluidtopics.net/ZlBbOej3pTLmjSILazaaig "Initiate a contract request for purchase lines, purchase requisitions, sourcing requests, negotiations, or sourcing events from the related work section.").
   * From DRR: Contract requests can be initiated for all types of entities, except purchase lines.    * From Playbook: Contract requests can be initiated only for sourcing events and sourcing requests.    You can manually create a contract request for a given supplier throughout the S2P workflow, so that a signed contract can be created with that supplier.
