# Rescan topics in Hermes {#ariaid-title1}

Synchronize topic records in your instance with topics in the Hermes Kafka cluster by rescanning.

## Antes de Iniciar

Role required: kafka_admin

## Procedimento

1. Navigate to AllHermes Messaging ServiceRescan Topics.
2. Synchronize topics by selecting Confirm.
3. **Opcional:** After the rescan finishes, view the script execution history.

## Resultado

Topic records are added to the Kafka Topics \[sys_kafka_topic\] table for each topic discovered in the Hermes Kafka cluster. The topic refresh date and time that appears in AllHermes Messaging ServiceTopics is updated.
