# Create from document record

# Create document references from document record {#ariaid-title1}

Link the document record to other records in any other table or record.

## Antes de Iniciar

Role required: none

## Procedimento

1. Navigate to DocumentsDocuments.
2. Select the document.
3. In the Document References tab, select New.  
   In the dialog box, the Document field reflects the document you selected.
4. In the Target Record field, select the Lookup documents using list icon ![Lookup documents using list icon]().
5. In the Select the document dialog box, for the Table name field, select the table for the record you want to link the document to.
6. In the Document field, select the Lookup using list icon (![Lookup using list icon]()) and select the record to which you are linking the document.
7. Select OK.
8. Select Submit.
