# Install Configuration Compliance

# Install Configuration Compliance {#ariaid-title1}

Before you run Configuration Compliance in your ServiceNow AI Platform® instance, you must first download and install the Configuration Compliance
application from the ServiceNow Store. This application is available as a separate
subscription.

Complete the setup checklist described in [Setting up, installing, and configuring the Configuration Compliance application](https://servicenow-prod.fluidtopics.net/pc~tqq7Wwf01mQMvyDsFIA "Before you run the application in your ServiceNow AI Platform instance, you must first download and install the Configuration Compliance application from the ServiceNow Store. This application is available as a separate subscription.") prior to installation. These setup tasks are required for a smooth installation and configuration.

Role required: admin

## Procedimento

1. To Opt in to ServiceNow products, follow the steps in [Opt in to the ServiceNow Store products](https://www.servicenow.com/docs/access?context=optin-optout-prod&version=australia&pubname=australia-platform-administration&ft:locale=en-US).
2. To install an application that you have purchased from the ServiceNow Store, follow the steps in [Install a ServiceNow Store application](https://www.servicenow.com/docs/access?context=t_InstallApplications&version=australia&pubname=australia-platform-administration&ft:locale=en-US).
3. **Opcional:** Alternatively, if you want to manage your entitlement for the Configuration Compliance application on other ServiceNow AI Platform instances, follow the steps in [Manage entitlements from your ServiceNow instance](https://www.servicenow.com/docs/access?context=entite-app&version=australia&pubname=australia-platform-administration&ft:locale=en-US).
4. If you have already installed the Configuration Compliance application and you are updating it, see [Install an update to a ServiceNow Store application](https://www.servicenow.com/docs/access?context=t_InstallUpdates&version=australia&pubname=australia-platform-administration&ft:locale=en-US).
5. Install supported applications.  
   Separate third-party applications acquire and transform data in Configuration Compliance. Before you can use Configuration Compliance to remediate configuration items, you must install a third-party scanner integration and perform at least one network scan.
