Create action definitions

  • You can create action definitions in SRM classic UI. Create action definitions to create an incident or send an email. Also, you can create action definitions to send messages on Microsoft Teams and Slack messaging services.

    Antes de Iniciar

    Role required: sn_srm_admin, sn_srm_manager, or sn_srm_user

    Procedimento

    1. Navigate to All > Site Reliability Metrics > Error budget policy > Action definitions.
    2. On the Error budget policy action definitions page, click New.
    3. On the form, fill in the fields.

      Field Description
      Name Name for the action.
      Icon Icon for the communication.
      Type Type of action to perform.

      Select Integration Hub - SubFlow to use action definitions for actions provided by default.

      Single use per threshold Option to determine the number of times an action can be created per threshold. If you select the check box, the action is created only once per threshold.

      Select the Single use per threshold check box.

      Description Description for the use of the action.
      Integration Hub - Flow/SubFlow

      Subflow that is executed to resolve an alert. For example, you can search for and select SRM - Create Incident, SRM - Slack - Post Message, SRM - MS Teams - Post Message, and so on.

      This field appears only when Integration Hub - SubFlow is selected from the Type list.

      Webhook

      The webhook for sending a notification.

      Enter a value in this field only if you are creating an action definition to send messages on Slack and Microsoft Teams messaging services.
      Nota:
      Create the webhook URL for Microsoft Teams and Slack messaging services before configuring this action definition.

    4. Click Submit.
