# Build custom queries

Build and run custom queries to uncover insights across your digital workspace. Use custom query builder to generate reports on any of the performance metrics on your device.

## Antes de Iniciar

Confirm that the DEX plugin (sn_dex) is installed.

Role required: admin

## Procedimento

1. Navigate to WorkspacesService Operations Workspace.
2. In the primary navigation pane, select the DEX Insights icon (![]()).
3. Select Query builder on the Insights page.
4. Select the metrics to build a query based on your requirement.
5. Select the filter by Department, Device list, and Operating system.
6. Select View results.

## Resultado

The custom query results appear.  
Nota:  
You can choose to export the query result and access the download file from the downloaded reports.
