Create an alert rule configuration for Microsoft Teams

  • Create a configuration to associate with an alert rule for a service or integration. Notifications are sent during specific events in a service to a channel in the Microsoft Teams messaging service.

    Role required: sro_admin, sro_manager, or sro_user

    Procedimento

    1. Navigate to All > Site Reliability Operations > Site Reliability Ops Workspace.
    2. On the Services Overview page (Services page icon.), open a service.
    3. Click the Alert Rules tab.
    4. Select an alert that you want to create a configuration for.
    5. Click the more UI actions icon (More UI actions icon.) that appears next to the Save button, and then select Create Configuration.
    6. On the form, fill in the fields.

      Field Description
      Name Unique name for the configuration. For example, Alerts notification Microsoft Teams.
      Attach to Table Table on which the action is performed.

      Select Action.

      Attach to Document Action to be executed on the selected table.

      Click Search. The Select the document form appears.

      To select a document, complete the following steps:
      1. In the Table name field, select Action.
      2. In the Document field, search for and select Post MS Teams Message.
      3. Click OK.
    7. Right-click the header, and click Save.

      The Configuration Variables related list is created.

    8. Under Configuration Variables, click New.
    9. On the form, fill in the fields.

      Configuration

      Name of the configuration that you are creating the configuration variable for.

      This field is auto-populated.

      Name

      Name of the configuration variable.

      Enter the value as ah_webhook_url.

      Type

      Type of the configuration variable.

      Select Scalar.

      Value

      Webhook URL obtained when creating the connector in Microsoft Teams messaging service.

      Paste the URL.

    10. Click Submit.
