# Add scrum tasks to stories

# Add scrum tasks to a story in CWM {#ariaid-title1}

Break down a user story into scrum tasks in Collaborative Work Management (CWM) to distribute work across team members and track daily progress during a sprint.

## Por Que e Quando Desempenhar Esta Tarefa

Scrum tasks are added one at a time from the Scrum tasks tab
on a story form. To generate multiple scrum tasks at once based on the story
description using Now Assist, see [Generate scrum tasks for a story with Now Assist for CWM](https://servicenow-prod.fluidtopics.net/UvenbNI5Pr7UpSbl~ulivw "Use Now Assist to automatically generate scrum tasks for a story in Collaborative Work Management (CWM) based on the story's description and context, saving time on manual task breakdown.").

## Procedimento

1. Navigate to WorkspacesCollaborative Work Management.
2. From a Space, select a Board.
3. Open a story by selecting it from one of the views (List, Gantt, Kanban, or Sprint planning).
4. Select the Scrum Tasks tab on the story form.  
5. Select Add new.
6. Enter a name for the scrum task.
7. Select the Save icon (![]()).  
8. Select + Add new to add more scrum tasks.

## O que Fazer Depois

To add more scrum tasks, repeat the previous steps. You can also add scrum tasks inline from the List and Sprint planning views.
