# Assign the consumer role to a contact

Assign the Consumer (sn_customerservice.consumer) role to the customer_contact to designate them as a consumer in the Customer Service Management (CSM) application.

## Antes de Iniciar

Role required: admin

## Procedimento

1. Navigate to AllCustomer ServiceCustomerContacts.
2. Select a contact from the contact records.
3. In the Roles related list, select Edit.
4. In the Collection list, select the Consumer (sn_customerservice.consumer) role and move it to the Roles list.
5. Select Save.

## Resultado

Selected contact is now both a consumer and a contact.
