Use the Profanity Filtering capability in Assistant Designer to keep unwanted language out of your Virtual Agent conversations.

## Profanity Filtering capability properties {#va-profanity-filter__section_xwb_mgn_pdb}

Specify the flow action properties for the node that you want to create.

| Node name | Name of the Profanity Filtering node. |
| Input mapping ||
| Wait for response? | Toggle to wait for a response from the action before continuing the conversation. |
| Message text | Text message potentially containing profanity. |
| Source language | Language in which the message is delivered. |
| Sender userID | ID of the user who is sending the message. |
| Output mapping ||
| Profanity detected | Boolean denoting whether the Virtual Agent has detected profane language. Select Enable to activate, and input a custom variable name to store the value under if desired. |
| Status | Status of the filtered unwanted language. Select Enable to activate, and input a custom variable name to store the value under if desired. |

| Hide this node ||
| Conditionally show this node if | No-code condition statement or low-code script that specifies a condition for presenting this node in the conversation. The condition must evaluate to true. |
