# Create and associate product capability with a business application

# Create a product capability and associate it with a business application {#ariaid-title1}

You can create product capabilities and associate them with business applications in the Enterprise Architecture Workspace.

## Antes de Iniciar

Role required: sn_apm.apm_user

## Procedimento

1. Navigate to WorkspacesEnterprise Architecture Workspace.
2. Open the Portfolio List view by selecting the Portfolio icon (![Portfolio icon]()).
3. Select the expand row icon (![Expand Row icon]()) next to Application Portfolio.
4. Select Business Applications.
5. Select the business application that you want to create and associate new product capabilities to.
6. Select Product capabilities.
7. To create a product capability and associate with the business application, select New.
8. In the Create New Product Capability page, fill in the form fields.  
   For field information, see [Create new product capability form](https://servicenow-prod.fluidtopics.net/4r4dA6di4HzyeKZTsRUW~A "Use a product capability to specify the feature that a business application or Technology Reference Model product provides to support business objectives.").
9. Select Save.

## Resultado

The product capability is added to the business application. Also, the associated Product Capability Maps and Capability Relationship Maps tabs are displayed for the product
capability.
