A business process is a collection of related structured tasks performed to accomplish a specific application service. Create a business process to group applications that help accomplish a specific application
service.

| Field | Description |

| Name | Unique name for the business process. |
| Parent | Parent business process Nota: If the parent process exists, it creates a hierarchy of business processes. |
| Review frequency | Frequency for reviewing the business process. |
| Description | Short description of the business process. You can also elaborate or shorten the content in this field using Now Assist. For details, see [Elaborate or shorten content in form fields](https://servicenow-prod.fluidtopics.net/77Ng29cURqBWIKmrFBX88A "Elaborate or shorten text in the description or reasoning fields in forms using Now Assist in the Enterprise Architecture Workspace. | Managed By Group | Group that maintains the business process. |
| Approval group | Group that reviews and approves the business process. |
| Owned by | User responsible for the business process. This user is a member of the Managed by Group. |

| Business criticality declared | Criticality of the business process based on your subjective assessment. The available options are: * 1- most critical * 2- somewhat critical * 3- less critical * 4- not critical {#eaw-business-process-form__ul_ojw_kpl_2yb} |
| Impact to confidentiality | Risk rating for the risk of loss of confidentiality. Confidentiality loss leads to leakage of confidential information. The available options are: * High * Medium * Low {#eaw-business-process-form__ul_y53_qpl_2yb} |
| Impact to availability | Risk rating for the risk of loss of availability. Unavailability of the system may cause delays in decision making, business interruptions, loss of revenue, and customer dissatisfaction. | Business critically determined | Computed criticality of the business process based on the assessment of the sub-processes. The available options are: * 1- most critical * 2- somewhat critical * 3- less critical * 4- not critical {#eaw-business-process-form__ul_wcm_g4l_2yb} |
| Impact to integrity | Risk rating for the risk of impact to integrity. Impact to integrity has consequences for businesses and employees, including fines and damage to your brand, reputation, and people.
