# Assign a business application

Assign a business application to a capability to relate the capability with the
application.

## Antes de Iniciar

Role required: sn_apm.apm_user

## Procedimento

1. Navigate to WorkspacesEnterprise Architecture Workspace.
2. Open the Business Capability Hierarchy page by selecting the Business Portfolio icon (![Business Portfolio icon.]()).
3. Select the row context menu icon (![Row context menu icon.]()) and select Assign business application.
4. Select a business application.  
   Nota:  
   You cannot assign business applications marked as Retired or in End of Life lifecycle stage.
5. Select Assign.
