Using the ServiceNow Extensions for VS Code, create a project
work folder to use as a workspace for ServiceNow
applications.

## Antes de Iniciar

[Activate the workspace](https://servicenow-prod.fluidtopics.net/zsWkUZFYR~V3B49qr9PYJA "Activate the ServiceNow Extensions for VS Code to be able to edit applications within your ServiceNow instance.") to access the functionalities of ServiceNow Extensions for VS Code. Role required: admin

## Procedimento

1. Click the Setup Workspace on the status bar at the bottom of the VS Code IDE.  
   You can also use a keyboard shortcut, Control+Shift+P on Windows or Command+Shift+P on MacOS, to open the command palette and choose Now: Setup Now Workspace from the list.Figura 1. Setup Now Workspace command
2. Do any of the following actions.

   | Option | Description |
   | To set up a workspace from a new folder | 1. Click New Folder. 2. Enter a name for the folder in the Name of new Folder window. 3. Click Create. {#setup-workspace__ol_lhb_dlf_blb} |
   | To set up a workspace from an existing folder | 1. Select the folder on your system. 2. Click Select project folder. {#setup-workspace__ol_ctw_slf_blb} |
