# Elevate your role in ServiceNow Studio {#ariaid-title1}

Configure roles and access control lists (ACLs) easily by elevating your role to security_admin from within ServiceNow Studio.

## Antes de Iniciar

Role required: admin, or another role that can be elevated.

## Procedimento

1. Navigate to AllApp EngineServiceNow Studio.
2. From the home page, select your user preferences.
3. Select Elevate role.
4. Select the security_admin role.  
   The security_admin role grants modification access to high security settings, and allows you to modify the access control list (ACL). For more information, see [Elevated privilege roles](https://www.servicenow.com/docs/access?context=c_ElevatedPrivilege&version=australia&pubname=australia-platform-security&ft:locale=en-US).

5. Select Update.
