# Copy a playbook

# Copy an automated playbook in Creator Studio {#ariaid-title1}

Duplicate an existing playbook and make small changes to it, which may be faster than creating an entirely new automated playbook.

## Antes de Iniciar

Because playbooks are based on forms, you should finish building out your app's forms before you start working on automation.Because playbooks are based on forms, you must publish a form (mark it as ready) before you use it to create a playbook. For more information, see [Publish a form for your app in Creator Studio](https://servicenow-prod.fluidtopics.net/TD6WNSD2YbrN5e6wMrSHPQ "Publishing forms once they're ready makes them available as catalog items in the production instance for published apps.").

To copy a playbook, you must be given permission to work on the app.

## Procedimento

1. Go to AllApp EngineCreator Studio to see all the apps on the Creator Studio home page.
2. Open the app with the playbook you want to copy.
3. Select the form that contains the automation that you want to copy.
4. Select the automation that you want to copy.  
   Nota:  
   If your app has a lot of forms, you can use the search box in the navigation panel to search for a specific form.

5. Select the more actions menu icon (![]()).
6. Select Duplicate.

7. Choose the Duplicate button in the confirmation modal.

## Resultado

The duplicated playbook opens, and appears in the navigation panel below the original playbook.
