Configure Dynamic Guidance to be available in the Help Center and Now Assist panel.

## Before you begin

Role required: sn_dyn_guidance_admin and sn_nowassist_admin.nsa_admin
Note:
* By default, Dynamic Guidance as a skill is active for applicable users but not accessible. The admin (with role sn_dyn_guidance_admin) must assign sn_dyn_guidance_user role to users who can access Dynamic Guidance.
* When sn_dyn_guidance_user role is assigned, it also includes the genai_admin role.
  Note:
The genai_admin role does not grant administrative privileges.
{#configure__ul_ydt_gvf_zjc}.
Follow these steps to enable Dynamic Guidance on Help Center and Now Assist panel:

## Procedure

1. Log in to the relevant instance.
2. Navigate to ServiceNow Otto Admin.
3. Select PlatformKnowledge under ServiceNow Otto Skills.
4. Search for Dynamic guidance and select Activate skills.
   * Dynamic Guidance gets enabled on Help Center.
   * External Content Connectors(XCC) ServiceNow Docs plugin is automatically installed as a dependency. This verifies that the XCC infrastructure for documentation search is available.
   {#configure__ul_z3j_1zq_v3c}

## What to do next

* Configure external content connectors to integrate with Dynamic Guidance. See [External content connector in Dynamic Guidance](https://servicenow-prod.fluidtopics.net/ZwnAuxSvOuzC18vbdUDS4w "Dynamic Guidance leverages XCC (External Content Connector) to provide intelligent, context-aware assistance by accessing ServiceNow product documentation.").
* Link Dynamic Guidance to additional documentation sources. See [Adding custom sources](https://servicenow-prod.fluidtopics.net/uIPnlZRCslaPntrnEUbF_w "Extend Dynamic Guidance knowledge base by linking your custom sources or adding additional sources beyond the default ServiceNow product documentation. This enables Dynamic Guidance to provide answers based on your organization's specific documentation, knowledge articles, or other content repositories.").
