The System Clone application facilitates the creation of exact copies of instance databases. This process is frequently employed to replicate production instances into pre-production environments for thorough testing of proposed
changes. The cloned data is derived from the most recent nightly backup, ensuring data accuracy and consistency.

Note:  
A new, unified admin experience for cloning data between instances is now available in the Clone Admin Console. This enhanced console builds upon our existing clone engine and provides improved visibility into one of our most frequently used automations. In addition to streamlining the cloning process, the console offers a range of other enhancements.
