Make the Microsoft translation service available for use by activating
the Microsoft translator configuration.

## Before you begin

* Create an account with Microsoft Azure for machine translation services, and set up the integration. For information see [Microsoft Azure Translator Service spoke](https://servicenow-prod.fluidtopics.net/IqKn9uK9qKWIuJ3_8Qh_8Q "Microsoft Azure Translator Service spoke provides subflows and actions to detect and translate user-entered text, using the Microsoft machine translation service. Dynamic Translation supports detection and translation of single texts and multiple texts.") and [Create a connection for the MicrosoftTranslation alias](https://servicenow-prod.fluidtopics.net/v7AT~Q7S5SBhymYuGprIVA "Connect to the Microsoft translation service by creating a connection. Provide information that is used by HTTP(s) actions or activities to connect to that service.").
* Role required: admin.

## Procedure

1. Navigate to AllDynamic TranslationTranslator Configurations.
2. Select Microsoft.
3. Select the Active check box.
4. In the Preferences section, choose this translator as default for translation or detection, or for both.

   | Mark as default for translation | Option to mark the translator as default for translation. |
   | Mark as default for detection | Option to mark the translator as default for detection of the language of a text. |

5. Select Update.
