# Summarize an Operational Technology incident by using ServiceNow Otto for Operational Technology (OT) Service Management {#ariaid-title1}

Understand the Operational Technology (OT) incident context and respond to user questions by using the OT incident summarization skill in the ServiceNow Otto for OT Service Management application.

## Before you begin

Role required: sn_ot_incident_write

## About this task

An OT incident summary provides you with a concise summary of an incident. The summary is based on the OT incident state and is generated from the following information:

* Short description
* Description
* Work notes
* Additional comments
* Priority
* Site
* Equipment model entity
* OT device
* OT incident task

## Procedure

1. Navigate to AllIndustrial Workspace.
2. Open the Industrial Workspace list view.
3. On the OT Incidents module, select one of the available lists.
4. Open the OT incident record to summarize.
5. In the OT incident record, select the Summarize button.
6. **Optional:** Manage the OT incident summary using the available options.

   | Save the summary information by adding it to the incident work notes | 1. Select Share as Work notes. 2. In the Share Incident summary as Work notes dialog box, edit the summary. 3. Select Save to Work notes. {#summarize-ot-incident-now-assist__ol_trg_4yf_xyb} |
   | Expand or collapse the summary | Select the expand card icon (![]()) to view the complete summary or the collapse card icon (![]()) to view a collapsed summary. |
   | Provide feedback for the summary | If the summary was helpful, select the helpful icon (![]()). If the summary wasn't helpful, select the not helpful icon (![]()). Note: This feedback improves the generative AI model and can help improve future versions of this skill. |
   | Copy the incident summary | To reuse the summary, select the copy to clipboard icon (![]()). |
   | View the information about the incident summary | To view details about the summary, select the more info icon (![]()). |
