An account is your ServiceNow® environment --- it includes your company's URL address (also known as an instance), a nickname, and your sign-in credentials.

To work with mobile applications, you must add at least one web-based UI instance to each of the mobile applications. The added instance contains the mobile features and capabilities that are configured by your administrator.

For information on administrator-based documentation regarding instances, see [Mobile instances](https://servicenow-prod.fluidtopics.net/HZ2sS8Sht520R_jOFMH4OQ "Instances available on your ServiceNow mobile apps correspond to at least one instance on your ServiceNow platform web-based UI. According to your setup, the mobile instance contains some of the data and capabilities found on the web-based UI.").
