Send your users critical alerts, even if they set their mobile device to Do Not Disturb or Silent mode. Configure these visual and audio alerts to be sent when an issue needs immediate attention. Example scenarios can be to
inform the user of an essential update, or to publicize a major incident that requires a speedy response.
For users to receive critical alerts, the feature must be enabled on the user's mobile device. If the feature is not enabled, the critical alert is delivered as a regular push notification, however it is labeled as critical in the notifications area.

* For more information on enabling critical alerts, see [Enable critical alerts to override do not disturb setting](https://servicenow-prod.fluidtopics.net/~8cVNZ5BndnAkYpB5Ibv0w "Enable the Override do not disturb setting to receive critical push notifications. Managers and admins can reach out to their on-call members even when their phones are set to Do Not Disturb mode.").
* For the user-related topic, see [Enabling critical alerts](https://servicenow-prod.fluidtopics.net/EVThYc1tRWpihRLCd5P_fg "Receive critical alerts, even if you have configured your mobile device to a Do Not Disturb or Silent mode setting. Critical alerts are a more acute form of push notifications, where your mobile device is set up to receive visual and audio alerts usually when an issue needs immediate attention.").
