After you configure a user type icon, you must use Mobile App Builder to configure a header function in a mobile app to use the icon.

## Before you begin

Role required: admin

## Procedure

1. Navigate to AllSystem MobileMobile App Builder.
The Mobile App Builder opens in a new browser tab and displays the application scope selection screen.
2. Search for the application scope you are working in and then select the name of the application scope.
The Mobile App Builder categories home screen displays.
3. Select the Screens category, and then select the launcher screen for the mobile app where you want to use the user type icon.
4. In the Launcher Screen form, scroll down to the Header function instance section and select New.
5. On the form, fill in the fields.

   | Name | Name of the header function instance. This name is internal and isn't visible to end-users. |
   | Display label | Label that is visible to end-users. |
   | Order | Optional field you can use to set the order that the UI functions appear. If you have multiple functions, set Order. |
   | Active | Toggle that turns the header function on and off. If the toggle is enabled, the header function is enabled. |
   | Icon | User icon that appears in the header of the launcher screen, which launches the user profile. |
   | Function | Function that runs when a user taps on the user icon in the header of the launcher screen. Note: Use a navigation function to navigate to a user profile record screen when you use a user type icon. For more information, see [Navigation functions](https://servicenow-prod.fluidtopics.net/I6nV6wIRGzWO9nGAy0MFgA "Navigation functions transition users from their current screen to another screen or launcher screen."). |
